Volkolak is a genetically modified werewolf who is being forced to function as an experimental weapon. Various specialized augmentations are designed to make him more deadly, smart and durable. With each new upgrade, the painful installation procedure is fine-tuned to achieve faster recovery times, so he can be operational ASAP.
Each significant change comes with serious discomfort. This image is a metaphor for (forced) personal growth.
Volkolak Modeling Sheets
The anatomy, proportions, texture and scale of the character are shown here. Volkolak has a combination of human and canine (neck, legs and the tail) anatomy with exaggerated proportions.
The player will be able to collect various internal upgrades in the game by locating these containers. The upgrades will provide higher stamina, special abilities and health.
Approaching an object for a fictional universe from the Industrial Design perspective, like it should exist in real world, helps to increase its believability.
These sketches explore the anatomy, body language and personality of the Volkolak.

“The scientists had no idea of the true potential of each upgrade. He knew that and even learned to appreciate the excruciating pain that accompanied the augmentation procedure, just so he can test his new toys. He also knew that during a mission, he is not restricted by the constant surveillance and can push his upgrades beyond the intended use, building up his bag of tricks in process.
Even with the best upgrades, he would not be able to survive the attack of the full security team though. So, he needed to gain their trust and waited patiently for years, carrying out all the gruesome orders with a machine-like precision.
As the time passed by without any incidents, the security became less tight, while the augmentations kept getting better with each iteration. It’s a shame he depended on the scientists to install them.
All he needed was a mission that required his favorite set of claws...
When the opportunity presented itself, he did not hesitate.”
