“She maintains this remote controlled ‘mechanical puppet’ of one of top ranked players almost daily. As he only cares about the virtual aspect of the fights in the Arena and leaves the robot in the maintenance bay most of the time, she can sometimes hack into the robot’s mainframe to take control.
The ‘Brawler’ has a primitive AI built in which can be unpredictable at times by switching into the attack mode when approached directly. In such cases a hard-coded voice command allows her to overrule the robot’s OS into the neutral state where she can even alter its source code.
Although she knows she is educated to only maintain these beautiful pieces of tech, she can’t suppress the ambition to try her luck in the Arena. But first, she has to establish herself in the underground fight scene
Participating in Inktober has given me the opportunity to tell the Story of DAWN.
This personal project about (lost) ancient wisdom is inspired by The Magicians of the Gods .
